On December, the 11th Unius team was awarded as a “Best Digital Technology Start-Up” in the Grad Factor, the UK’s first Government-backed National televised student enterprise Awards competition.

The Unius project has successfully passed 3 stages of selection and was сhosen by the expert jury among more than 300 applicants. In the final stage 5 teams vied for the first place: Sinclair Fire, Unius, Team First, Slang and Revive, among which Sinclair Fire from Cambridge University was named the best.

“Unfortunately, we have not won the grand prize, however, we need to admit that all the projects were worthy. In any case, for us it was a good practice, and we are satisfied with our results and meetings with investors, “- said Victor Potapov, the founder and CEO of Unius Learning Limited.

GradFactor Enterprises is a Government-backed organisation that is dedicated to helping university students and graduates to fund and develop their own start-up businesses. The main goal is to identify and support the new ideas and start-ups emerging all the time from UK universities.

In October 2014 GradFactor Enterprises launched the UK’s first Government-backed National televised student enterprise Awards competition, The Grad Factor, in partnership with Barclays bank. The winner of the competition received £10,000 investment, media coverage and free office space for 1 year.
